The parliamentary poll is considered a test for the southern African country that ended a nearly three decades long civil war six years ago. The MPLA party of President Jose Eduardo dos Santos is expected to retain control of the 220-seat parliament. The main challenger is the opposition UNITA which has accused the MPLA of voter intimidation in the run-up to the elections. Some 17 million people are eligible to vote in the oil-rich country that has one of the world's fastest growing economies but where still 70 percent of the population live on two dollars or less a day.
